KAIRO SAMUEL JONES

Born and raised in South London to mixed heritage, Kairo is an emerging self-taught filmmaker.

His mother's side of the family hailing from Cuba & Jamaica - proudly part of the wind rush generation - encompassing what hard work meant. These were the roots that taught Kairo community, rhythm and the joy of living. A humility & appreciation for life you can only inherit. His father's side of the family being British - valueing tradition, adventure and always curious of 'what more'. These Values figure strongly in the world's Kairo has created and the stories he's voiced.

Kairo comes from a technical background having worked in the camera department for several years. He is currently living in London where he is working on his debut films 'An Ode to Mar Seck' & 'Zeal'.
